Where it all began.. Lynn and Phil
We came into grassroots football almost 14 years ago when our son Sam (then 10) showed an interest in playing for a team... Phil set up the team with what was then Blaydon Youth Club. Out of our own pockets we bought 10 balls, bibs, and a set of cones and we had a bunch of delighted kids and parents whom become the first of we call our footy family.
Over the years we have seen those once kids grow and become fine young roll models themselves and some becoming involved in coaching and refereeing themselves including our Son.
We now run with with 13 teams from u7s to u16s and also a tots group for ages from 4yrs old. We have a dedicated committee along with dedicated coaches and managers who give a great deal of their time up on a voluntary basis keeping going what the kids enjoy.
